The Miami County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank you for your interest in our agency. As the chief law enforcement officer in the county, the sheriff is required by state law to perform four specific duties, including:
Serving civil and criminal process papers
Keeping the peace
Providing protection for county residents
Keeping those behind bars secure
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office currently employs one captain, five sergeants, four detectives, thirteen sworn and seven part-time deputies, six reserve deputies and twenty civilian employees.
