Miami County,
Kansas encompasses an area of 592 square miles, 5 incorporated cities,
and a population of approximately 32,787. Located 30 minutes south of the Kansas City metropolitan area, Miami County offers a diverse mixture of agricultural operations, recreational opportunities, and employement ranging from manufacturing to professional services. Shane Krull
was appointed County Administrator of Miami County in December 2004,
and serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of a county government
with 234 full time employees and an annual budget of more than $36.7
million.
Shane has several
years experience in local government, having served as a Management
Analyst for Kansas City, Missouri; City Administrator of Rose Hill,
Kansas; City Manager of Osawatomie, Kansas; and most recently as
City Administrator of Tonganoxie, Kansas.
He is a member
of International City / County Management Association, and the Kansas
Association of City / County Management. A native of Miami County,
Shane is a graduate of Pittsburg State University.
He earned his
Master's of Public Administration degree from Kansas State University.
