The Victim Assistance coordinator of the Miami County Attorney's Office provides services to all victims of crime in Miami County. These services include:

• advising victims of counseling options,
• advising of court dates,
• explaining court procedures,
• preparing victim for trial,
• determining restitution and filling out Restitution Claim Forms,
• assisting in requests for restitution from the Kansas Crime Victims Compensation Fund,
• assisting victims in the return of stolen property,
• assisting in the preparation of victim impact statements,
• subpoenaing of witnesses and notification of Public Comment Sessions.
