Pursuant to the Board of County Commissioner's police power to protect
the public health, safety and welfare of the public in the unincorporated
areas of Miami County, Kansas, the BOCC adopted Resolution R00-01-001
and R00-01-002 for purposes
of code enforcement.
Resolution R00-01-001
provides for the repair or removal of unsafe or dangerous structures;
establishes procedures to enforce the repair or removal of such
structures and to recover costs for the county doing so; and authorizes
the immediate removal when such structures constitute an immediate
hazard.
Resolution R00-01-002
provides for the declaration of certain matters as nuisances
within the unincorporated area of Miami County, Kansas; provides
for the removal or abatement of such nuisances; and authorizes the
assessment of cost and penalties for violators of the resolution.
