is one of the premier fishing lakes in Kansas. It provides hunters,
fisherman, picnickers, naturalists, photographers, birdwatchers,
and sightseers with a unique opportunity to discover nature. Hunters
will find a variety of game on Hillsdale's 8,000 acres of land.
For the fisherman, Hillsdale is known as one of the top Largemouth
Bass lakes in the state. With its 4,580 surface acres of water Hillsdale
provides fisherman with plenty of action. Hillsdale Lake is located
at the north end of Miami County. Out and about in Miami County,
you’ll find an abundance of green space for outdoor activities.
You can perfect your tennis serve on area courts or test your golf
skills at Metcalf Ridge Golf Club, near Louisburg,  Sycamore
Ridge, near Spring Hill, Osawatomie Golf Course or the Paola Country
Club. Round out the day at one of our eating establishments and
then cap off the evening with a visit to the Powell Observatory,
in Louisburg, to view the cosmos or catch a movie under the stars
at the Mid Way Drive In Theatre. Then retire for the night to one
