Function: Miami
County Emergency Medical Services was founded in 1989 and was comprised
of 6
full time employees with an annual call volume of 781. Today, Miami
County EMS is comprised of 21 full time and 10 part time employees
with an annual call volume of 2,400.
Miami County EMS is funded through a combination of tax dollars
and revenue from our medical and trauma services.
Under the leadership
of EMS Chief , Jason Jenkins, Miami
County EMS strives to provide the highest, most up to date level
of pre-hospital care to the citizens of Miami County and surrounding
areas.
Insurance
The EMS Department
accepts assignment on all Medicare and Medicaid claims and is responsible
for submitting all insurance claims.

Training
We welcome anyone
needing State of Kansas or National EMT or Paramedic training.
