Frank Burrow |
| Battalion
Chief Frank Burrow began his career with Miami County EMS in July
1989 as an EMT. Frank completed his Paramedic training at Johnson
County Community College in January 1991, graduating 2nd in his
class, and was promoted to Supervisor / Battalion Chief in December
1991.
Growing up in
a rural setting east of Manhattan, Kansas, Frank’s interest
in helping people in time of need was fueled by watching Johnny
and Roy from Squad 51 on the television show “Emergency”.
In 1985, while attending Kansas State University, Frank attended
an EMT class at Manhattan Vo-Tech and graduated 2nd in his class
of 16 gaining his EMT certification. His first EMT position was
with the Louisburg – Paola Ambulance Service from 1986 to
1988. Frank received Instructor / Coordinator certification in 1995
and teaches First Responder, EMT, and continuing education courses
for Miami County EMS. He is dedicated to his chosen career and helping
the people of the community.
Frank resides
in northeastern Miami County with his wife and 3 children.

Jason Ryburn

Chief Jason Ryburn began his career in EMS as a First Responder
with the Wellsville Fire Department in 1991. He received his EMT
certification in 1993 and went to work for Miami County EMS in December
of that year. Jason became a paramedic in the Spring of 1999 and
after working for Med-Act in Johnson County, returned to Miami County
EMS in July of 2004. Jason has worked as a paramedic for Miami County
EMS since that time and was promoted to the position of Battalion
Chief in September 2007.
BC Ryburn currently
resides in Wellsville with his wife, Teresa, and sons Vince, Layne,
and Luke. Jason is dedicated to Miami County and plans to complete
his career working for Miami County EMS

Davis Owen

Davis
Owen, Miami County EMS Battalion Chief started his new position November
3, 2008. Davis began his EMS career in 1994, with an EMT certification
received from Allen County Community College in Iola, Kansas. He went
to work at a private ambulance service in Emporia, Kansas until moving
to Iola, Ks to work for Iola Fire Department. While working in Iola
he participated in Lawrence Douglas County Fire and Medical Extra
Board. In 2000 Davis married and move to Lenexa, Ks. He graduated
from Coffeyville Community College in 2001 with his MICT Certification
and started working as a paramedic for Franklin County EMS. After
3 years on the street Davis was promoted to Battalion Chief working
there for 7 years. Davis is married and has three children.
Davis was born on the Gulf Coast in Mississippi, and moved to Kansas
in the forth grade. He lived in Emporia graduating from Emporia High
School in 1993. |
