Miami County EMS Staff

Emergency responder personnel are divided into 3 shifts - A, B & C. Each shift is generally staffed with a Battalion Chief (Paramedic Supervisor), 2 or 3 Paramedics and 3 or 4 EMTs. As of January 2005 many of our EMTs have advanced to the EMT-I/D level. Paramedics and EMTs work 24 hours on - 24 hours off, repeating that cycle for 5 days or 3 shifts. After the 3rd shift they enjoy 4 days off to relax, rejuvenate, and be ready to come back to work refreshed.

Four staff members: Mike Gorman, Frank Burrow, and Matt Gamblin are certified Death Investigators and serve in the capacity as Deputy Coroners for Miami County.
