Shields is the 28th Treasurer of Miami County, Kansas. She was elected
to this position November of 2000 and sworn-in on October 9, 2001.

Department
Function:
The Motor Vehicle department serves as an agent
for the State Department of Revenue / Division of Vehicles and is
responsible for vehicle registration, titling, issuing license plates,
and driver’s license renewals.
In addition to accepting cash, personal check, or
money order, the Miami County Motor Vehicle Department can now accept
the 4 major credit cards. (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American
Express) A convenience fee will be charged by the credit card processing
center in addition to the total of your transaction. (The County
does not retain any portion of this fee.) Every measure of safety
and reliability has been implemented in regards to this transaction
process.
If you
are paying by check or money order, you can utilize our drop box
that is located on the south side of the Miami County Administration
Building or mail your renewal notice.
