Meetings are held quarterly, where the meeting is held in a rotating order in the six counties.

Members

The Board of Commissioners from each county appoints representative members.

About the Lake Region Solid Waste Authority

Lake Region Solid Waste Authority originated from an interlocal agreement between Anderson, Coffey, Franklin, Linn, Miami, and Osage counties. Committees are established by the authority to not only develop, write, review annually, and conduct public hearings for a management plan that addresses solid waste handling for the six counties, but to also advise on education, recycling, composting, special waste, and collection / transportation / disposal within the six counties.
